In line with the development of smart livestock farming, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Modiran Company and Smart Gene Kavan Farm Company.
According to this cooperation agreement, the company will offer a genomic pilot program for livestock to farmers based on available data.
It should be noted that genomics refers to the study of all genes of an organism (the genome), including the interactions of those genes with each other and with the surrounding environment. Genomics involves the integrated scientific study of genetic and environmental factors and is not limited solely to the role of genes.
Objectives of this project include:
- Determining the necessity of establishing a genetic structure for livestock at the national level
- Improving herd management
- Increasing the productivity of livestock farms
This two-year memorandum of understanding will commence on January 5, 2026 (15/10/1404), and the related research, scientific, and data-driven processes will begin accordingly
